NTE has several material categories needed for character progression: Ascension Materials (character level caps), Skill Materials (talent upgrades), EXP Books (character levels), and Enhancement Materials (Arc and Cartridge upgrades). Understanding which materials to farm and when is essential for efficient account growth. Each character requires specific materials tied to their element and rarity, so planning your farming around your main team's needs is crucial for avoiding resource bottlenecks.

Ascension Materials

Ascension Materials raise your character's level cap. Each Ascension requires specific boss drops and domain materials. Plan your farming around your main team's needs. Boss drops are weekly-gated, so prioritize your main DPS characters first.

Skill Materials

Skill Materials upgrade your character's talents (Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate). Each talent level requires increasing amounts of materials. Prioritize Ultimate upgrades for DPS characters, then Skill, then Basic Attack.

Daily Farming Routes

Optimize your daily Stamina usage with these priority routes. Focus on your main DPS team first before spreading resources. Natural Stamina regen gives you 240 per day (1 per minute), plus daily login bonuses.

• Morning (40 Stamina): Domain run for Ascension materials — target your main DPS (Nanally, Sakiri)
• Afternoon (40 Stamina): EXP Book domain — level your main team to current cap
• Evening (40 Stamina): Skill Material domain — upgrade Ultimate talent first, then Skill
• Co-op (0 Stamina): Join co-op boss runs for extra drops — no Stamina cost for participants
• Weekend: All domains open — catch up on missed materials
• Tip: Use Chiz for fast domain clears — her Grain burst handles mob waves efficiently

Farming Efficiency Tips

Maximize your material gains with these strategies. Efficiency is key for F2P players who can't refill Stamina with premium currency.

• 1. Focus one character at a time — don't spread resources across 4 characters simultaneously
• 2. Prioritize Nanally or Sakiri first — they carry your team through all content
• 3. Use Beetle Coins from daily farming to buy weekly shop materials
• 4. Join co-op runs for bonus drops — even low-level players can contribute
• 5. Save Premium Tokens for endgame Module Rewind — don't waste on early materials
• 6. Check Annulith guide for free currency to refill Stamina (not recommended for F2P)
• 7. Farm Character Pixels daily (240 cap) for character-specific upgrades
• 8. Use Fons from Pink Paws Heist for upgrade costs — don't spend Annulith on Fons

Material Spending Priority

Not all material spending is equal. Follow this priority for efficient progression. This priority assumes you're building a standard team composition with one main DPS and supports.

• 1. Main DPS Ascension (get to A4 for level 70 cap) — Nanally or Chiz
• 2. Main DPS Ultimate talent (level 6 minimum) — biggest damage increase per material
• 3. Support Ascension (A3 for level 60 cap) — Sakiri or Haniel
• 4. Second DPS Ascension (A3 for level 60 cap) — for dual-team content
• 5. Remaining team Ascension and talents — Adler for shields, Edgar for heals
• 6. Cartridge enhancement (only for equipped sets) — focus on 4-piece set bonus first

EXP Books — Level Your Characters

EXP Books are used to level up your characters. Each level requires increasing amounts of EXP, and the cost scales with character rarity. S-rank characters like Nanally and Sakiri require more EXP than A-rank characters. Focus on leveling your main DPS first, then supports. The EXP Book domain is available daily and provides the most efficient source of leveling materials. Stockpile EXP Books during the week and use them strategically when you need to level a character for upcoming content.

• EXP Book domain available daily — 40 Stamina per run
• Each run yields 8-12 EXP Books depending on difficulty
• S-rank characters need ~50% more EXP than A-rank characters
• Priority: Main DPS (Nanally) → Support (Sakiri) → Second DPS (Chiz)
• Tip: Don't level characters beyond your current content needs — save EXP Books for when you actually need the levels

Enhancement Materials — Arc & Cartridge Upgrades

Enhancement Materials are used to upgrade Arcs and Cartridges. These materials drop from specific domains and co-op challenges. Focus on enhancing your main DPS's Arc and Cartridge set first. The enhancement system provides significant stat bonuses that multiply your character's effectiveness.

• Arc Enhancement: Increases Arc's main stat and passive effect
• Cartridge Enhancement: Increases Cartridge's main stat and sub-stat bonuses
• Enhancement domain available daily — 40 Stamina per run
• Co-op challenges drop bonus Enhancement Materials — join co-op for free materials
• Priority: Main DPS Arc → Main DPS Cartridge set → Support Arc → Support Cartridge set
• Tip: Use Beetle Coins to buy Enhancement Materials from the weekly shop

Boss Materials — Weekly Resets

Boss Materials are weekly-gated drops from Boss Challenge content. Each boss drops specific materials tied to character elements. You can challenge each boss 3 times per week for a total of 9 boss drops per week. These materials are essential for character Ascension and cannot be farmed outside the weekly reset. Plan your boss challenges around your main team's element requirements. Use Sakiri for boss fights — her ATK buff significantly speeds up clear times.

• Weekly Boss Challenge: 3 bosses × 3 attempts = 9 boss drops per week
• Each boss drops materials for specific elements — match to your team
• Priority: Challenge bosses that drop materials for your main DPS first
• Co-op boss runs count toward your weekly limit — don't waste attempts
• Tip: Use Nanally for Anima boss, Chiz for Cosmos boss

Shop Materials — Weekly Purchases

The in-game shop offers weekly material purchases using Beetle Coins and Fons. These purchases are time-limited and reset every Monday. Prioritize buying Ascension materials and Enhancement materials from the shop. Use Beetle Coins from daily farming to fund these purchases. The shop also occasionally offers rare materials at discounted prices — check weekly for deals.
