Modules & Console Guide — Rabbit Hole, Rewind, Tetris Layout

Complete NTE Modules guide: Rabbit Hole system, Rewind mechanics (3 tiers), HL30+ requirements, sub-stat filtering rules, and Tetris layout optimization.

What Are Modules?

Modules are NTE's endgame stat-boosting system, similar to artifacts in other gacha games. They're equipped on characters to provide main stats and sub-stats. Modules come in different shapes (like Tetris pieces) and must fit within a character's Module Grid. Understanding Modules is essential for maximizing your character's damage output at endgame.

Rabbit Hole — Module Farming Dungeon

The Rabbit Hole is the primary source of Modules in NTE. It's a dungeon-like activity that drops Modules with random main stats and sub-stats. Higher difficulty levels drop better Modules with more sub-stat slots.

  • Rabbit Hole unlocks at Hunter Level 30 (HL30)
  • Difficulty levels: Easy → Normal → Hard → Expert → Master
  • Higher difficulty = more sub-stat slots (up to 4 at Master)
  • Each run costs 20 Stamina
  • Recommended team: Sakiri (ATK buff) + Nanally (DPS) + Adler (shield) + Edgar (heal)

Rewind System — 3 Tiers

The Rewind system allows you to re-roll a Module's sub-stats without changing the main stat. There are 3 tiers of Rewind, each with different costs and outcomes.

  • Rewind Tokens drop from Rabbit Hole Master difficulty
  • Premium Tokens are rare drops from events and co-op bosses
  • Always Rewind Tier 1 first to fish for good sub-stats before using Tier 2/3
  • Tip: Use Beetle Coins farming to fund Tier 1 Rewinds

HL30+ Requirements

Modules are locked behind Hunter Level 30. Before reaching HL30, focus on leveling your main team and saving Beetle Coins.

  • HL30: Unlock Rabbit Hole (Easy difficulty)
  • HL35: Unlock Normal difficulty + Tier 1 Rewind
  • HL40: Unlock Hard difficulty + Tier 2 Rewind
  • HL45: Unlock Expert difficulty
  • HL50: Unlock Master difficulty + Tier 3 Rewind
  • Recommendation: Rush to HL40 first, then farm Hard Rabbit Hole for good Modules

Sub-stat Filtering Rules

Each Module has a main stat and up to 4 sub-stats. Understanding which stats are good for which characters is key to optimization.

Tetris Layout Optimization

Modules come in different shapes like Tetris pieces. Each character has a Module Grid with limited space. Fitting the right Modules requires planning.

  • Module shapes: 1×1, 1×2, 1×3, 1×4, L-shape, T-shape, Z-shape
  • Each character's grid is 4×4 (16 slots total)
  • Larger Modules have higher main stats but take more space
  • Optimal layout: Use 2 large Modules (1×4 or L-shape) + fill gaps with small ones
  • Tip: Check Cartridges for set bonuses — prioritize activating 4-piece sets first

Module Enhancement Priority

Enhancing Modules costs Fons and enhancement materials. Prioritize wisely.

  • 1. Main DPS Module with ATK% main stat (max to +15 first)
  • 2. CRIT Rate/DMG sub-stat Modules (max to +12)
  • 3. Support Modules with Energy Recharge (max to +10)
  • 4. Tank/Healer HP% Modules (max to +10)
  • 5. Never enhance Modules with bad sub-stats — Rewind first

FAQ

What are Modules in NTE?

Modules are endgame stat-boosting equipment. They come in Tetris-like shapes and fit into a character's Module Grid. Farm them from Rabbit Hole dungeon.

When should I start farming Modules?

At HL30 when Rabbit Hole unlocks. Focus on leveling your main team first, then farm Hard difficulty at HL40 for optimal drops.

How does the Rewind system work?

Rewind re-rolls Module sub-stats. Tier 1 re-rolls 1 random stat (10k Fons). Tier 2 re-rolls 1 chosen stat (50k + Token). Tier 3 re-rolls all stats (200k + Premium Token).

What sub-stats should I look for on Modules?

DPS: ATK%, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG. Supports: Energy Recharge, HP%. Tanks: HP%, DEF%. Always prioritize CRIT Rate for DPS characters.
